Playing catch up and days are ticking by.

Hi everyone, I know that my posts have become more and more rare and I am sorry about that. This does not mean I have suddenly become more boring than I ever was before, it simply means that I have not been able to find the time to post as right now I am involved heavily in the design department working in a room with 3 other people and this seriously cramps my writing capability. So here I am on Tuesday afternoon (evening in Ireland) endeavouring to catch up to some extent. Its particularly bad when your most loyal reader (the wife) stops asking "did you blog today"?. It is something I have found very satisfying and something which was started to keep my friends and family informed as to our activities has now become a very worthwhile hobby. Damn it I have now joined the ranks of those who blog about all thing sports well mostly all things Arsenal.

By now I am really looking forward to my impending trip to "the motherland". Jill keeps saying that she will really miss me when I am going over in what now will 9 days, and of course I will miss her too. It is however a source of excitement to get to visit with family and friends and catch up on old times and revisit old friends. Days are ticking by....

Finally got to a Saw Doctors gig.

Those of you who have been reading since last year, will remember Friday October 13th 2007. That was the day the docs were supposed to play a gig at a high (secondary) school. However and due to a freak snow storm they could not get from upstate New York Buffalo to the gig in Bethlehem Pennsylvania.
Last night Jill and I finally got to see them play, it was a great pity that Marc could not come as it was over 21's. I took off early from work 4pm and with daylight savings time it was a beautiful day. Drove 40 minutes to get Jill and we set out for the 80 miles drive to Philadelphia. With minor traffic in rush hour we got to the genral area of the gig the Theatre of the Living Arts. Situated on south street this was very similar to the streets of Dublin in termes of how close the streets are all single lane one way traffic which made for having to become familiar with the area. Having found the venue and having time to do it, we set out to find Genos Cheesesteaks a must do when in the area. Very nice meal.

Sledding fun.

Last week (around the time of valentines day we had a big snow/ice storm and it left in its wake about 2 inches of snow followed by ice. The following weekend we took advantage and went sledding here is the result of our time there in the form of youtube.
