Good Cop, MAD Cop.

One day Jill, Marc and I were taking a ride in the car. I was driving and we came to what is called a 4-way junction where you must stop. The idea is that you stop and then carry on in the sequence that you arrived at the stop. I am always sure to stop every time and as I took the left hand turn and drove for a few seconds, while talking with Jill and laughing about something Jill said "there's a cop over there" parked alongside a building. With smile on my face I looked to where Jill had gestured. To my amazement there is a cop with his window down. My window was down also but with radio on I could clearly read read his lips "DID YOU STOP"!

While still smiling I nodded my head and then hoped he would finish his donut. [Disclaimer:- (I have no actual proof he was eating a donut)] Also hoping he would not come after me with all sirens blazing!. Next time Mr Cop, please pay attention and catch those who dont obey the law.

Walk for Autism Awareness Day.

It was Saturday April 12th and it was to be the day that many people would walk for Autism Awareness, a neurological developemental disorder which is becoming unfortunately more and more prevailant. The latest figures have said that a new case is diagnosed every 20 minutes or 67 cases every day. More figures now say that it is more widespread than AIDS, perhaps this figure relates to the U.S. only. Other research suggests figures may have increased due to the fact that the diagnosis has been expanded and now encapsulates a wider range of cases. Saturday would be the day when all of those who are affected or know of this disorder come together to bring awareness to Autism. Teams of those who donated gathered in line to walk the 1.5 miles (shortcut) or the hardcore 3.5 miles for those who could do it.

Crayola Crayons a local and very large company were on hand to meet and greet the walkers and right here Marc is meeting one.

There were some imposing characters on hand for the day and everybody enjoyed the presence of "the dark lord Vader", and his stormtroopers.

We made sure to have Marc celebrate his completion of the 3.5 mile course.

Despite the fact that we had to wait nearly one hour for the event walk to start (it was due to start at 10am) the whole day was a big success and with a large attendance it was definitely a successful event.
