Walk for Autism Awareness Day.
It was Saturday April 12th and it was to be the day that many people would walk for Autism Awareness, a neurological developemental disorder which is becoming unfortunately more and more prevailant. The latest figures have said that a new case is diagnosed every 20 minutes or 67 cases every day. More figures now say that it is more widespread than AIDS, perhaps this figure relates to the U.S. only. Other research suggests figures may have increased due to the fact that the diagnosis has been expanded and now encapsulates a wider range of cases. Saturday would be the day when all of those who are affected or know of this disorder come together to bring awareness to Autism. Teams of those who donated gathered in line to walk the 1.5 miles (shortcut) or the hardcore 3.5 miles for those who could do it.

Crayola Crayons a local and very large company were on hand to meet and greet the walkers and right here Marc is meeting one.

There were some imposing characters on hand for the day and everybody enjoyed the presence of "the dark lord Vader", and his stormtroopers.

Despite the fact that we had to wait nearly one hour for the event walk to start (it was due to start at 10am) the whole day was a big success and with a large attendance it was definitely a successful event.
